Religion in Italy

Stinters should be prepared to meet a lot of Roman Catholics.  95% of the people you meet will be nominally Catholic.  According to the Italian Bishops Conference only 18 – 20% attend church regularly.  Evangelicals and Protestants are only .6% of the population – half of which are Pentecostals.  Actually, there are more Jehovah’s Witnesses than Protestants in all of Italy.
