Introduction

Needs to be updated by Bologna Staff.

In 2001-2002, we sent our first Stint team to Florence, Italy.  You could be part of pioneering a university ministry at this location.  Generally, the dates for stint run from September through July.  Although, we can make exceptions for students who for one reason or another need to return early, you will need to get an okay from the Regional office as well as the in country leadership before making plans for an early return.

You will be with a team of American student doing full-time ministry with university students at the University of Florence.  (There are 57,000 students who study at the University of Florence.)  The bulk of your days will be spent on campus, meeting students, building relationships with them, and sharing your faith.  You and your team mates will also take language classes about three days a week – these may or may not be sponsored through the university, so unfortunately you should not count on transferring credit back to your university.  Each week you will be spending time with your team studying the Word, praying, and being trained in ministry skills. Expect that some of your evenings and weekends will be taken up by special events planned by your team.
