How the Stint Team Fits In
Simply put, your mission for your year on STINT will be to:
-Love the Lord -Love Your Team -Learn a New World -Launch a MovementYou’ll learn more about this four part mission at your STINT briefing. In regards to Launching a Movement, it’ll be helpful for you to read the information below so you will begin to understand how your personal ministry will fit in with your team’s vision and the bigger vision of AgapeGreece (Greece’s campus ministry).
LAUNCHING A MOVEMENT:STINT teams are there to focus on college students—almost solely on young freshman and sophomores. As part of a local team on a campus, your main ministry focus will be to raise up spiritual multipliers. A SPM (spiritual multiplier) is a Greek student who is actively sharing their faith and leading other students from the word. SPMs are the key in really creating a lasting movement of students who will reach each generation of freshmen on that campus with the gospel even after you are gone. Some of the key disciples on your campus may even decide to become national staff. As your campus movement is indigenized, your campus will become a sending body to other campuses with unreached students. It’s a long process from initially cultivating relationships with lost students to seeing a native-led movement on your campus, but that’s why you are coming on STINT—because that doesn’t happen in just 6 weeks on a summer project! As students make decisions for Christ, the STINT team is needed to disciple these students and help give them a vision for reaching their Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and even the ends of the earth. After you arrive, you’ll see that your team will have a variety of materials, as well as training events, that will help you know how to share the gospel, use Soularium, take a student through follow-up, train them to share their faith, and eventually go and make disciples themselves. It’s such an exciting, faith building process and it will be your FULL-TIME JOB!
