Before you go overseas, all participants on your summer project will meet in one location. This is called the Briefing conference because you will be briefed together on what to anticipate during your summer of ministry. This time will also include:

- Establishing a vision and goals for the project
- Praying together for the summer
- Ministry orientation and training
- Cultural adjustment training
- Learning to work together as a team
- Checking your sponsorship funds
- Completing important forms

Briefing will be May 22 – May 24, 2011 in Irving, TX (you will be notified if these dates change). You will depart for your country on May 24th. About one month from the beginning of project you will want to arrange transportation to the briefing. If you drive to briefing, make arrangements for your car because you cannot leave it at the hotel for the summer! If you need to fly to briefing, fly into the DFW airport. Please do not make domestic flight reservations until you confirm the details with your Team Leader.

Registration is on Sunday, May 22nd from 2:00pm to 4:30pm. Please arrive in time to register and check into your room before registration ends at 4:30pm. You will have dinner together with your project team.
