It always amazes me who often the Biblical characters mess up and God still blesses them.  Abraham lies to Abimelech and puts Sarah in jeopardy.  But God still blesses Abraham.  Seems like God goes to extreme measures to protect Abraham’s offspring and ultimately the Savior.  If I was God I would have wanted to thump Abraham for his lack of faith.  Good thing I’m not God.  If I’m honest I am really Abraham in this passage that sins and needs grace and forgiveness.
